TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOU...
I currently work as a consultant/project manager at Monitor Deloitte, where I help companies develop and implement strategies and to succeed with innovation. Prior to my current role I worked with commercialization of technology at CERN, where I worked on getting startups to use CERN technology. I have some, although limited, experience from life science R&D, both from my studies in bionanotechnology and internship at a biotech company.
WHAT CONSIDERATIONS GUIDE YOU IN DECIDING HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPEND YOUR CAREER? HOW DO YOU PRIORITIZE OR WEIGH THESE?
My personal mission is to prevent illness and diseases on a global scale, while still living a happy and fulfilling life with friends and family. These are my most important criteria for my career: 1) Global impact, 2) Work-life balance (at least to some degree, to have friends and hobbies), 3) solve complex problems, and 4) to collaborate with a group of competent people. I also have more preferences, but these are the most important ones.
WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IDEAL ROLES FOR YOU, WHAT ARE SOME
KEY CHARACTERISTICS?
I think I would do well in strategy, operations and management roles, especially project or program management, and also stakeholder management. I think I would do better in a large organization than in a start-up (I've tested both), as I build trust and maneuver a hierarchy well. I would prefer working on topics that are also interesting from a research/technology perspective (i.e. related to biotechnology/nanotechnology).
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE RECRUITERS LOOKING AT YOUR PROFILE TO KNOW?
