TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOU...
My mission is to leverage my skills to improve people's quality of life. I'm an experienced product manager with particular growth strategy, operations and leadership skills. Graduated with a master's degree in Information Systems, I deepened my knowledge in technology management and corporate finance. My interests include AI safety, impact investing, and gender equality.
WHAT CONSIDERATIONS GUIDE YOU IN DECIDING HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPEND YOUR CAREER? HOW DO YOU PRIORITIZE OR WEIGH THESE?
In my opinion, the most promising way to spend my career to help most people is working on pressing cause areas that receive the least attention or are neglected. In other words, if fewer individuals are addressing a high-impact area, it is logical to allocate more people to help solve the particular issue. An example of this is the number of researchers working on navigating AI risks (safety, ethics, existential) compared to researchers working on advancing AI capabilities.
WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IDEAL ROLES FOR YOU, WHAT ARE SOME
KEY CHARACTERISTICS?
- It is a generalist role that requires broad expertise: a mix of strategy, operations, and implementation
- An exciting role in which daily admin work is less than 30% (with 70% spending on research, special projects, etc.)
- Working on a high-impact cause that aligns with 80,000 hours cause prioritisation (https://80000hours.org/problem-profiles/)
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE RECRUITERS LOOKING AT YOUR PROFILE TO KNOW?
My highest priority is to get a London-based job (I require a sponsorship for a skilled-worker visa).
