TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOU...
I am a law student from India who is about to complete her 5 year integrated law and humanities degree. I have been trying to use EA as a guiding tool to plan my career (with the assistance of 80k). I have always wanted to emigrate and work in a new country, and am financially capable to make that choice. I am interested in climate change mitigation and earning to give primarily, as climate change mitigation is the cause that I am most passionate about.
WHAT CONSIDERATIONS GUIDE YOU IN DECIDING HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPEND YOUR CAREER? HOW DO YOU PRIORITIZE OR WEIGH THESE?
I would like to spend my career working on something that ideally addresses some of the most pressing problems (climate change, global priorities research or policy making) or helping contribute to people doing the same through earning to give. I would also ideally be able to emigrate and have my personality fit to the kind of career I have, this involves hands on work that is non-remote- which are priorities that come second but are extremely important.
WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IDEAL ROLES FOR YOU, WHAT ARE SOME
KEY CHARACTERISTICS?
Working with people directly is something that would be a great fit for me aptitude wise. I would also like the ideal role to involve research work, or innovation of some sort - working on a pressing problem that has not been addressed before and contributing to something meaningful.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE RECRUITERS LOOKING AT YOUR PROFILE TO KNOW?
