TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOU...
I am a 2023 Master of Public Policy (MPP) graduate from the Goldman School of Public Policy, UC Berkeley, and have over six years of experience as a policy and strategy consultant in the social impact world. Most of my work has been on projects in the Global South, including policy research, program design and evaluation, and partner coordination in diverse settings in India and Sub-Saharan Africa. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Delhi in India.
WHAT CONSIDERATIONS GUIDE YOU IN DECIDING HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPEND YOUR CAREER? HOW DO YOU PRIORITIZE OR WEIGH THESE?
Guided by a deep-rooted passion for evidence-based interventions, my career choices center around impact and growth. Work environment and team dynamics are very crucial to me as I thrive in teams that strive to collaborate and not compete. The focus and potential for impact of the work I will personally be doing is my top priority when looking for roles. I am now looking for roles which will give me autonomy to spearhead project management stakeholder partnerships.
WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IDEAL ROLES FOR YOU, WHAT ARE SOME
KEY CHARACTERISTICS?
My aspiration to engage in the philanthropic sector stems from its potential to address pressing global issues. I value the interplay between data-centric analysis and on-the-ground insights and my consulting background has enabled me to work on such projects. I'm drawn to opportunities where my skills can help shape program and policy design. I am issue area and geography agnostic but am inclined towards working in philanthropy or social impact consulting spaces.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE RECRUITERS LOOKING AT YOUR PROFILE TO KNOW?
My roles at the UChicago Trust, Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), and the TCC Group have provided me with credible experience in working on large-scale projects targeted towards improving social outcomes. I have developed excellent project management, research, and analytical skills. I am also adept at using tools like R, Stata, NVivo, and other survey instruments to collect and analyze large datasets.
