Completing a Master in psychology, and classes in applied psychology, intervention design and evaluation gave me good fundamental understanding of human behaviour. I gained experience doing qualitative and quantitative research in affective sciences and decision-making. I now plan on applying my knowledge to have a positive impact on the world which is why I am focusing on behaviour change / behavioural economics.
WHAT CONSIDERATIONS GUIDE YOU IN DECIDING HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPEND YOUR CAREER? HOW DO YOU PRIORITIZE OR WEIGH THESE?
The biggest consideration is that I want to help make the world a better place, I want my work to have a positive impact. The particular cause area should still be of interest to me as it would make me more productive but I am pretty open. Then, personally, flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work would be great positives.
