TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOU...
My research background is in Politics/IR and Psychology/Neuroscience (decision-making, moral psych). On the object-level I am interested in public policy, risk evaluation and regulation of AI.
I value my experience in operations for insight into the discrepancies between organisations' capabilities and aims, and for skills in org-building and managing.
I write. I am good at analysing concepts. I understand the influence of narratives on people's reactions, uptake, and the shaping of values.
WHAT CONSIDERATIONS GUIDE YOU IN DECIDING HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPEND YOUR CAREER? HOW DO YOU PRIORITIZE OR WEIGH THESE?
In order of priority:
systems (or organisations) to understand and improve; broader societal impact; challenges of interpretation; intellectual stimulation; feedback loops to improve with.
I value meaningful, individual connections, since making any organisation, institution or social structure more efficient cannot occur solely on context-free spreadsheets. Ditto for any co-operative effort (incl. international relations).
WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IDEAL ROLES FOR YOU, WHAT ARE SOME
KEY CHARACTERISTICS?
Actionability for the audience; reasonable flexibility in work place and time; autonomy and creativity; negotiating interests and decision counterfactuals; interpersonal connection and tangible impact.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE RECRUITERS LOOKING AT YOUR PROFILE TO KNOW?
