TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOU...
I am a committed pledged member of GWWC and strongly advocate for effective altruism values. My goal is to ensure that AI is used ethically for the betterment of all beings. Presently, I am working on Standards Case Studies for Open Phil and am enrolled in the AI Safety Fundamentals/Governance course by Blue Dot Impact. Additionally, I enjoy climbing, camping in the redwoods, and hiking in Marin. I am also passionate about oil painting and art.
WHAT CONSIDERATIONS GUIDE YOU IN DECIDING HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPEND YOUR CAREER? HOW DO YOU PRIORITIZE OR WEIGH THESE?
My career choices are guided by Effective Altruism and 80k Hours principles, focusing on AI safety and governance research. I prioritize mitigating frontier AI harm by researching AI standards regulations, risk-management frameworks, and policy analysis. Unfortunately, this area is still in its early stages, and we need more talent to contribute to its development. I plan to dedicate the next three to five years to finding strategies to regulate ethical AI while not compromising R&D
WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IDEAL ROLES FOR YOU, WHAT ARE SOME
KEY CHARACTERISTICS?
I seek roles where my work directly contribute to impactful changes in AISafety - Executive Research Assistant, Policy Analyst, Project Manager, Research Manager. I want to dedicate 60% of my time to research, 25% to data analysis, and 15% to misc; H1B sponsorship is needed; great plus for: collaborative environments that foster growth and knowledge exchange; feedback-rich culture, preferably low hierarchy, diverse and inclusive hiring, hybrid workplace, and mentorship/management opportunities.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE RECRUITERS LOOKING AT YOUR PROFILE TO KNOW?
My professional experience includes working as a Graduate Research Assistant in Marketing Strategies, Sales, and Reservations Analyst, Customer Service, Office Operations, and AI Governance Research.
