TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOU...
I am a Brazilian student pursuing a Data Science and AI degree at FGV Rio, with graduation expected in December 2026. As Vice President and former Director at FGV Junior Consulting, I have led diverse software engineering projects, leveraging languages like C++, Python, R, etc. I am also deeply committed to the AI Safety field, actively building community and upskilling through initiatives such as organizing and participating in hackathons and attending programs like Condor Camp and ML4GOOD.
WHAT CONSIDERATIONS GUIDE YOU IN DECIDING HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPEND YOUR CAREER? HOW DO YOU PRIORITIZE OR WEIGH THESE?
I seek career opportunities that challenge me technically, refine my soft skills, and foster meaningful connections. It’s essential that my work aligns with my values, allowing me to contribute positively to society—whether through direct impact or by supporting mission-driven organizations. I would say I prioritize jobs where I can leave a lasting legacy, continually grow, and find deep fulfillment in knowing that my efforts make a significant difference in the world and legacy for the future.
WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IDEAL ROLES FOR YOU, WHAT ARE SOME
KEY CHARACTERISTICS?
During my time at FGV Junior, I progressed from trainee to Director of Technology then to Vice President. This exposed me to various roles, and I discovered a passion for the technical work, where I enjoyed diving deep into every step of the process. However, my skills and interests strongly align with managerial roles, where I can apply techniques like Scrum. The ideal role for me combines technical expertise with the soft skills needed for effective team communication and collaboration.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE RECRUITERS LOOKING AT YOUR PROFILE TO KNOW?
I would say I am the person that looks for two things in a job: learning and impact.
