TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOU...
I'm a communication designer passionate about human-centric design. I completed an Bachelor's in visual communication and wrote my Honours thesis on applying ethical considerations as a graphic designer. I was introduced to EA recently and felt compelled to pivot to a high-impact career to deal with strategic communications and/or operations more broadly. Throughout my varying work experience I've proven to be adaptive, highly organized, able to juggle many hats and willing to go the extra mile.
WHAT CONSIDERATIONS GUIDE YOU IN DECIDING HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPEND YOUR CAREER? HOW DO YOU PRIORITIZE OR WEIGH THESE?
My ideal career is one that is in alignment with my personal interests, goals and values so I feel a sense of fulfillment. I guide my career plan by assessing the intersection of what I enjoy doing and where my strongest skills lie, to ensure I’ll have sustained long-term motivation. Then I weigh how I can create the most impact with my passions and skills combined. I believe it’s also important to stay open to any change, to pivot and to reiterate when needed.
WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IDEAL ROLES FOR YOU, WHAT ARE SOME
KEY CHARACTERISTICS?
An ideal role would be one where I'm given the ability to help others in some way. It'd allow me to balance my creative side with my logistic side. I'd have a variety of responsibilities to keep me from feeling stagnant. I’d have a balance between having a sense of autonomy and a sense of direction through a mentor figure. It’d be a workplace that’s supportive of a healthy work-life balance. It may even encourage the pursuit of opportunities outside of work (directly related to the role or not).
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE RECRUITERS LOOKING AT YOUR PROFILE TO KNOW?
I am currently a volunteer for the official Indonesian EA chapter, I help create content and direct their social media accounts to have a more established online presence and to reach a wider audience. Our current goal is to educate Indonesia on EA core principles as well as to grow our local community.
I am also possibly willing to relocate for a good opportunity!
