I'm a Mexican food engineer passionate about alternative proteins, climate change, and reducing food waste. As a volunteer researcher at ALLFED, I've worked on projects related to global catastrophic risks. I'm skilled at making connections, networking, and conducting research in English and Spanish. I aim to work on projects that align with my passions and make a meaningful impact.
WHAT CONSIDERATIONS GUIDE YOU IN DECIDING HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPEND YOUR CAREER? HOW DO YOU PRIORITIZE OR WEIGH THESE?
I am driven by my desire to make a positive impact by applying my scientific knowledge and research skills to benefit animals, humans or the planet. Based on input from the EA community, I believe I can have the greatest impact in areas such as alternative proteins due to my scientific background. My approach is to prioritize neglected areas where my skills and passion align to create meaningful change.
WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IDEAL ROLES FOR YOU, WHAT ARE SOME
KEY CHARACTERISTICS?
I am seeking an ideal role that will continuously challenge me and provide a sense of purpose. It's important that I feel heard and respected in the workplace, and the option for remote work would be a plus (considering that not many companies provide visa sponsorship). I enjoy conducting research and networking on behalf of the company, as well as engaging with external customers. Above all, I value a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration.

I am a passionate and proactive team player who is always eager to help others and take on additional responsibilities beyond my role. When I am part of a project or company, I fully embrace its mission and goals as my own. I am a quick learner, and once I understand the expectations and tasks, I tackle them proactively. Also, I enjoy receiving constructive feedback since that helps me improve my work.
