TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOU...
Interested in the topics of animal ethics and effective altruism, I actively volunteer in several associations that deal with these themes.
Currently a full-time radiotherapy dosimetrist in Périgueux, I work in parallel at DTS IMRT as a trainer for radiotherapy practical work.
I want to change careers to maximize my impact for other animals.
WHAT CONSIDERATIONS GUIDE YOU IN DECIDING HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO SPEND YOUR CAREER? HOW DO YOU PRIORITIZE OR WEIGH THESE?
I would like to work in the field of farm animals (aquatic or land). I think that even small changes in animal exploitation could make big differences in their welfare.
To decide on the field, I based myself on considerations such as : Scale ; Neglectedness ; Tractability ; but also my knowledge and where I can bring the most. I also want to work in a effective organization, and somewhere I could keep learning even if it's not in the field of farm animals.
WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IDEAL ROLES FOR YOU, WHAT ARE SOME
KEY CHARACTERISTICS?
- Organize event (team building, conference etc...)
- Volonteer management
- Participation in the creation, implementation and coordination of projects / Project management
- Strategy development
- Participate in meetings with political decision-makers (municipal elected officials or municipal services, parliamentarians, etc.)
- Tasks that require: teamwork, rigor and seriousness, adaptability
- Variety : Requiere to perform a range of different activities.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE RECRUITERS LOOKING AT YOUR PROFILE TO KNOW?
My current job in radiotherapy is unaware that I am looking to change careers and fields.
